BUMMP is the Biology Undergraduate and Master's Mentorship Program at the University of California, San Diego. Time and time again we have seen that the most effective problem-solving will be executed by diverse thinkers. Our primary aim is to ensure that our undergraduate and Master's students, including, but not limited to, those who face obstacles (first generation, from a rural area, experience of homelessness, low-socioeconomic background) that have limited their ability to conduct research, are equipped with an awareness of their place in science and the strength to stand in that place and advance to higher heights.
